Event planners work hard to put on world class events. During the hustle-bustle of an event, there often isn’t time to photograph the details of the setup. That is why styled shoots are nice. They allow the entire collaborative team space and time. They allow us to do some event design photography.
Hosting weddings is big business and the Austin area is peppered with venues serving that market. There are also a lot of other related vendors including those that specialize in styling a space.
A Styled Outdoor Patio Space
The large covered stone patio is one of our favorite things about Cathedral Oaks. It is surrounded by the large live oak trees for which the venue is named. It’s an incredibly pleasant place to sit around sunset. Karla McNeill Events and Confetti Rentals styled the space with a wonderful couch and chairs and some modern tables as accents.
Table Center Pieces
A venue is a canvas and table center pieces are one of the paints great event designers use to create a unique event. Whether they are simple or complex, centerpieces and place settings take a room and make it special for an event. For this shoot Confetti Rentals, Karla Mcneill Events and Creative Innovations Floral combined forces to create a couple of different styles.
The first table matches pale pink roses and table cloth and contrasts them with the lush green of the silver dollar eucalyptus, all supported on a white lantern and surrounded with votive candles.
More formal center pieces, like this bouquet and candles give an event a totally different feel.
